Tests Scheduled

The PET and MRI didn't happen today as I had hoped, but they are scheduled for Thursday afternoon, both at the Cleveland Clinic. This experience has been quite the education in health insurance, and I thank my sister profusely for her extensive hours on the phone interacting with the insurance company on my behalf. We are still praying that the MRI shows a localized tumor that will lead to a quick surgical intervention. Thanks for your prayers, cards, and calls of encouragement....God is blessing me daily through them!

  1. May God Bless you -- I linked to you through Homespun Quilts and my prayers are for God to help you through this ordeal. Your strong faith is so obvious and apparently He has carried you through life..thank you for sharing your story and your faith. Sometimes it's someone else's faith that reminds me of how good & gracious God can be.

  2. Dear Karen, I wish you were down the street. We could just sit down and talk. Of course, you in my intercessory prayers.

I have been down the road you are walking. My doctors keep writing out my stage for kidney disease (for thbe past nine years).

I discern that we are now experiencing a cultural shift in medicine. Monday`s USA Today had a full page on three treatments for cancer that did not look to cutting, poison, or burning for caancer treatment. They are experimenting with "targeted" cell therapy!

In those treated (for lung and ovarian) cancer most saw the cancer cells disappear! One method cut the blood supply off from the cancer cells, another had good cells put protein into the cancer cells. In both cases, the cancer cell completely disappeared! This is a time of miracles. These were both test groups. The one article gave Pfizer's phone number for readers to call and see if they qualified for the next huge treatment group.

Have you folks reserched experimental cancer testing prrograms by drug companies? Remind your doctors of this option.

I know that are making the right decisions. God needs you both for God`s ministry. You two are the most talented, committed, and faithful disciples I know. I am not just saying this because I am your uncle.

    Love
    Dennis

On your journey I hope you feel embraced by all of us who love you - even when we are not with you. May God's presence be extremely real as you go through your tests.
    Love, Marilyn
